Visual Arts
This week, Year 9 Visual Art students proudly completed their Skateboard Design Unit. After researching a variety of cultural art styles, the boys created unique designs inspired by their findings. They sanded their boards, transferred their artwork, painted and applied a final varnish coat to produce truly impressive and original pieces. Fantastic work, boys!

Year 11 Visual Art in Practice – Transform and Extend
The students have now completed their D2 unit, Transform and Extend. In this project, students produced a resolved artwork that expresses a developed personal style and builds on inspiration from an artist or artisan explored in Assessment D1. Each student created an impressive and unique final piece. Well done, boys!

The Year 11s attended their stimulus excursion at Rainforest Station and the Hou Wang Temple to gain inspiration that will inform their Year 12 body of work.

In other year levels...
Year 10 students are completing their resolved symbolic artworks that express aspects of themselves.

Year 8 students have worked exceptionally hard, using surrealist techniques to draw their stories and then they screen printed innovative symbols onto shoe-bags.

Year 7s have enjoyed making their ceramic animals to express human values or characteristics.

We hope you enjoy viewing the art as much as they have enjoyed creating it.
