Parramatta Diocesan Primary Basketball Gala Day

 

Recently we had Stage 2 and Stage 3 students compete in the Parramatta Diocesan Primary Basketball Gala Day. All students had a great day and our teams were extremely competitive throughout the day with a couple of our teams finishing third overall. A huge achievement! 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Berg Shield - Cricket 

The Berg Shield is a state wide cricket tournament which sees schools from all over NSW compete. Our team consisted of students from Year 7, Year 8 and Year 9. The boys drew a tough team in the first round and unfortunately went down in a close fought game against St Dominic’s College. All students are to be congratulated for how they represented the College. A huge thank you to Ms Mitchell for travelling with the team and coaching the boys.   

 

 

2024 Parramatta Diocesan Team Sport Trials - Primary

The 2024 Parramatta Diocesan Team Sport applications (expression of interest) have recently opened.. 

 

Any student enrolled in Year 5 and 6 in 2024 are invited to participate in the Parramatta Diocesan Team Sport Trials during Term Four (2023), Terms One & Two in 2024. 

Students in Year 4 in 2024 MAY nominate for the sports of Basketball, Hockey, Softball, Tennis & Touch Football only. 

 

It is important to note that these trials are generally for those students that demonstrate an above-average ability and in particular sports demonstrate representative playing experience. In most sports, students should have experience playing regular competition outside of school.

 

2024 Parramatta Diocesan Team Sport Trials - Term 1 and Term 2 2024 - Expressions of interested for the following sports open 15/11/23 and close on 13/2/24.

  • Football
  • Netball
  • Rugby League
  • Cricket 
  • Touch Football
  • Rugby Union 
  • Softball

 

Registration for expressions of interest (EOI) are to be submitted via the Parramatta Diocese Primary Sport Website. Go to the “REP SELECTIONS” tab and scroll down to the SPORT you wish to register for and click on the “REGISTER” button below the heading “Primary Sport Expression of Interest Registration Form”. This online form is an EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI) for the 2024 Parramatta Diocesan Primary Sport Team trials. Parents may complete this form to attend a selection trial. One form is to be completed per student, per individual sport. Each sport has its own criteria therefore, it is imperative that the correct form is completed.

 

This online registration is an EXPRESSION OF INTEREST ONLY and MUST be approved by the school and the event organiser. For the student to attend the nominated trial or event, approvals are based on playing history and selection criteria. All fields and especially “Representative Experience” if applicable to the sport MUST be completed. Under no circumstances will a student be eligible to trial if the 2024 CSPD Primary Sport TEAM Registration Form has not been completed and approved by the closing date.

Students that are approved to attend will receive a Primary Sport Team Sports Trial Information sheet and will be required to complete a consent form for the trials. For APPROVED students, there is a team trial cost involved with the trials and payment is to be made prior to attendance at 2024 trials and NOT at the trials.

FULL DAY TRIALS - Cricket & Boys Soccer

HALF-DAY TRIALS - AFL, Girls Football, Netball, Rugby League, Rugby Union, Touch

AFTERNOON SCHOOL TRIALS - Hockey & Softball are held after school beginning at 4pm

Due to the popularity of boys' cricket, boys' soccer, and netball a maximum of two students are eligible to trial from each school. 

 

2024 Parramatta Diocesan Team Sport - Secondary (Year 7 - 12)

 

Please take a look at the PDSSSC website (NSWCCC Representative Sport) and the CSNSW Sport website for more information on what sports are on offer in 2024. Some sports require the school to submit a team, while others accept individual expressions of interest. All information for each sport can be found on the above two websites. Please be sure to check sports of interest as registrations open and close at different times for each sport. Touch Football expressions of interest are currently open and will close 3/11/23 due to the trials being held this term.
