Principal's Message

St Luke's... "nurturing faith filled, curious children to become creative contributors and innovative problem solvers for a changing world."

Dear Parents,

We extend our heartfelt apologies for the delay in releasing this edition of the Net. Last Friday, we had the immense joy of celebrating our community through the observance of St. Luke's Day. This special day marked a vibrant celebration of our faith and the incredible talents within our school community. For the past two years, we have dedicated St. Luke's Day to fostering creativity, with our Art Show and Talent Show being the focal points of this festivity. The day was filled with awe-inspiring displays of talent from both our students and some of our teachers, leaving us all thoroughly impressed.

In addition to the exhibitions of creativity, we held a beautiful liturgy where we had the privilege of confirming our new student leaders. It was a heartwarming sight to witness our graduating Year 12 students return to welcome the incoming Year 12s into their new roles, especially with their parents in attendance. Moreover, successfully accommodating 1600 students in the marketplace was a remarkable achievement in itself.

We extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who contributed to making this day a splendid celebration of our faith and our students' creativity. On such a grand day, the collaborative spirit of our community shone brightly, with everyone pitching in to help. Special thanks are due to Mrs. Kelly and Mrs. Camilleri for their exceptional leadership in planning; Mrs. Atkins, Mrs. Ruiz D'Villa, and their team for orchestrating a beautiful liturgy; Mrs. Clark, Mrs. Burns, and the IT and Maintenance teams for their diligent work in setting up, packing up, and ensuring readiness of spaces; the Hospitality team, particularly Mrs. Nguyen and Mrs. Roach, along with the Duke of Ed students, for assembling 1600 show bags; Mr. Alverado, Mr. Erceg, and the entertainment team for their hard work in managing the logistics of live events; and Mrs. Zorzo for her outstanding organisation of the art show.

Once again, thank you to each and everyone of you for your invaluable contributions to making St. Luke's Day a memorable and meaningful celebration.

Kind regards

Kelly Bauer
