Conveyance Allowance – Transport to School

The Conveyance Allowance provides a contribution towards the cost of transporting eligible students to and from school. It is not intended to cover the full cost of travel.

Eligibility

An application may be submitted on behalf of a student who is:

• a Victorian resident

• of school age and enrolled at school for three or more days per week

• attending a school campus located outside the Melbourne Metropolitan Conveyance Boundary.

Students who meet the above requirements may be eligible if they:

• attend their nearest or designated neighbourhood government school appropriate to their year level, where admission is permitted; or

• attend their nearest appropriate non-government school appropriate to their year level, where admission is permitted; and

• live 4.8 km or more from the school by the shortest practicable route.

If you believe your family may be eligible for the Conveyance Allowance and you have not already completed an application, please contact Mrs Nichole Atchison at the Senior Campus. An application form will then be forwarded to you.
