It was another fantastic week of basketball across our College teams.
U12B College – Sooty Owls
A very close game this week from College and Saint Mary’s Black, with a very lucky 2-point win by the College girls. This was another outstanding game, never giving up until the final buzzer. Well done to Hazel Johns on another fantastic game and shooting 9-points.
College U14B Sooty Owls
The U14B Sooty Owls unfortunately went down to the Tigers by 11 points. Despite the result, it was wonderful to see every player contribute on the scoreboard. The team's teamwork and ball movement down the court were particularly impressive. A special mention goes to Chloe Cameron, who delivered an outstanding performance with 6 points, strong rebounding, and excellent layups throughout the game.
College U14B - Snowy Owls - bye
College U16B - Snowy Owls
The U16B Snowy Owls recorded an exceptional 56-point victory over Minders White. The game began as a closely contested match, requiring the girls to lift their intensity and find another gear. Their patience in attack, composed passages of play, and teamwork across the court proved to be the difference. Annika Fitzsimmons led the scoring with an outstanding 31 points, while Elodie Cocheran contributed an impressive 23 points, along with strong rebounding and fast breaks that helped secure the dominant win.
College Div 2 - Snowy Owls
This week unfortunately wasn’t the week for our College Div 2 girls, falling short by 7 points, with key player Saskia Gould out. The girls are eager to fight back to secure a spot in finals. Each player gave their all, and a big thank you to Elsie Brown, who filled in and also top-scored with 12 points. We thank Elsie so much for helping out another College team, and she should be proud of her standout performance during this game.

U12B College – Barking Owls
The College U12B boys had a very close game against Saint Mary’s Black, winning by 4 points. Each player put in so much effort and showed a great amount of teamwork on and off the court, helping each other get over the line once again. Outstanding shooting from Jack Allen, putting up 12 points and the top scorer of his game.
U12B College – Boobook Owls - Bye
College U16B Boys – Barking Owls v Barn Owls
It was a College showdown, with the Barn Owls defeated by 26 points by a very strong Barking Owls team. For the Barn Owls, Arshita Woosantia put up 12 points and was strong on rebounds; for the College Barking Owls, Oscar Smith shot 23 points, and Dylan Holt put up 12. There was great camaraderie on and off the court.
College Div 4 Men – Boobook Owls
This week the boys went up against the Crocodiles in a fight until the final whistle. College finished with an 11-point win, with Sam O’Sullivan putting up 16 points and contributing a strong game at both ends of the court. The boys are playing well and looking good as they head into finals season.

Congratulations to Ava Cottle who was recognised in Warrnambool this week as an Interleague player for the U18 Hampden Womens Football Team.

Hockey
The girls are back in town with a full team and another win on the board. Division 1 Women won against Dunkeld Red 3-0. Rosie Christie was a standout player in the game, continuously turning over the ball and feeding it to our forwards. Jess Templeton put the team on the board early in the game, scoring our first goal. Claudia Cochran and Abby Henderson scored our final two goals.
The Division 1 Men had a convincing win, defeating the Devils 8-2. The side had a strong first and last quarter, using their speed, space, and passing to their advantage. Standout players included Taylor Haley scoring 3 goals, Oscar Smith scoring 2 goals, Max Cameron, Rupert Merrin, and Charlie Hawthorne all scoring one goal each.
