        Principal's News

Dear Families & Friends,

It seems like a long time ago but just last week we had an amazing Book Week of celebrations which included a colourful parade of children and adults dressed in their favourite book character costumes. Thankyou to all our parents for the great effort that goes into this each year, finding or making costumes so our children can get dressed up. Of course the main reason we celebrate Book Week each year is to help focus on the love of literature we want to foster in our children. Whilst we know our children are often so exposed to digital devices it is re-assuring that most children still love to pick up a book or sit down to listen to a story being read by their teachers.

School Concert Update

This week Ms Stanton has been hard at work with our lead characters as well as each class working on the School Concert. Whilst the final production is of course the focus, the real work, and much of the excitement and enjoyment is happening at each rehearsal. Learning and memorizing lines, practising moves and remembering choreography is no mean feat and seeing, even our new Prep students doing this is a credit to our wonderful Performing Arts teacher. Next Tuesday Ms Stanton will run a whole school practice and is happy to have some parents, grandparents or family members come and watch the rehearsal.

Father's Day

On Sunday we will celebrate Father's Day and as a school community we were able to acknowledge this with our annual Father's and Special Person's Breakfast at Trinity this morning. We had a great turn out of parents who enjoyerd the hot Toasties, coffee and tea  as well as some great activities set out by Ms Helen. These events always highlight the importance of school community with several dads reminding me that this would be their last Father's Day breakfast at Trinity and how much these special occassions have meant to them over the years.
