Notice of Election and Call for Nominations – Parent & DOE Employees

 

An election is to be conducted for members of the School Council of Macleod College.

 

Nominations open on Tuesday February 17th 2026 and must be lodged by 4.00pm on Tuesday March 3rd 2026.

 

Nominees must now have a working with children's check, please include your WWC details on the nomination form.

 

Following the closing of nominations a list of the nominations received will be posted at the school on Tuesday March 3rd 2026.

 

If there are more nominations than positions there will be an election with the following timeline:-

On or before Friday March 6th 2026Distribution of ballot papers completed 
Monday March 16th 2026Close of ballot at 4pm
Tuesday March 17th  2026 Count votes and declare the poll
Wednesday March 18th 2026New Council meets 6.15pm

 

The terms of office, membership categories and number of positions in each membership category open for election are as follows –

If the number of nominations is less than the number of vacancies, a notice to that effect and calling for further nominations will be posted in a prominent position at the school.
