Cross Country
Congratulations to all of our students who proudly represented the school at both the O&M Regional Cross Country and the Hume Region Cross Country events this term. Competing against some of the strongest runners from across the region, our students demonstrated outstanding determination, and sportsmanship.
Each participant should be commended for their commitment to training and their willingness to challenge themselves at a high level of competition. Their efforts and achievements are a credit to themselves, their families, and our school community.
A special congratulations goes to Frank, whose excellent performance earned him a place at the State Cross Country Championships on the Thursday 16 July at Yarra Glen Racecourse. This is a fantastic achievement and reflects the hard work and dedication he has shown throughout the season.
We wish Frank all the very best as he competes at the state level and thank all of our cross-country runners for representing our school with pride.
Winter Sports Day
On Monday 22nd June, more than 80 of our Year 5 and 6 students proudly represented the school at the Winter Sports Day competition. Students competed across three sports – Football (AFL), Netball, and Soccer – demonstrating excellent teamwork, and sportsmanship throughout the day.
Our students performed exceptionally well, with many of our teams progressing through to the semi-finals across all three sports. While we narrowly missed out on securing a place in the Grand Finals, the effort, skill, and resilience shown by all players was outstanding.
We are incredibly proud of every student who participated. They represented our school with enthusiasm, respect, and a positive attitude, making the day a great success both on and off the field/court.
A big thank you to the families who came along to support and encourage our students throughout the day. Your support is greatly appreciated and helps make these events such a positive experience for our children.
We would also like to acknowledge and thank our staff for their time and dedication in coaching, managing teams, and supporting students throughout the event. Their efforts played a significant role in ensuring the day ran smoothly and was enjoyable for all involved.
Congratulations to all students on a fantastic Winter Sports Day!
State Sporting Trials
Congratulations to Ted and Jack, who recently represented our region at the State Cricket Trials, and Max and Spencer, who represented our region at the State Basketball Trials.
Being selected to trial at the state level is a fantastic achievement and reflects the hard work, dedication, and talent each student has shown in their chosen sport. We are very proud of the way they represented themselves and our school and congratulate them on this outstanding accomplishment.
