Sport Update

Interschool Sport

We have had so many students go out to compete across all year levels for Interschool Sport! We had our Junior Girls and Intermediate Girls netball teams start us off and competed at ‘All Schools Netball’ with our Intermediate Girls taking home the win and finish the day undefeated taking them through to the next stage. Great work for getting to the stage you did girls! 

We also had our Intermediates, Year 8s and Year 7s go out and compete in Hockey, Table Tennis, Futsal and Basketball. Thank you to all the staff that put their hands up to coach and support the sport program!

NPD Athletics

With over 100 students competing at Division Aths, EMC was represented in nearly every event! Well done to all of those who participated in the day and congratulations to the students who placed on the podium. We have 28 students who will be competing at Region at the start of next term, best of luck!

Staff vs Student

As we start saying goodbye and good luck to our Year 12s, we hosted a Staff vs Student basketball day on the last week of term! With large numbers from both the students and teachers, we had many participants. It was a tough game, with a controversial foul in the last seconds of the game to end on a draw, 23-23. Congratulations to Corey Slefendorfas (Student) and Allison Johnson (Staff) for claiming the MVPs of the game.

Langwarrin Family Chiropractic Achievement of the Year Award

This months nominee is Mason Stephenson. Mason excels in sport and continuously shows it through everything he does, from Football, to Netball to Athletics. At NPD athletics, Mason won numerous events and broke a large number of our school records for his age group and will now be representing EMC at Region! Congratulations on being this months nominee Mason and best of luck at Region Aths!
