Pre-Kindy to Year 2
This term, in Kindy, has been filled with fun, exploration, and meaningful learning experiences! We have enjoyed a balance of indoor and outdoor play, where the children have been busy creating, building, and engaging in imaginative play using natural materials like sticks, leaves, and loose parts.
Our learning has included early numeracy skills such as counting small collections and exploring numbers through hands-on activities, as well as developing our pre-literacy skills by breaking words into syllables and blending sounds together. The children have also loved engaging in creative experiences, from painting and collaging to cooking delicious treats like apple and cinnamon muffins.
We have shared special moments together through celebrations such as St Patrick’s Day and Harmony Day, embracing our diversity and learning about what makes each of us unique. As the term progressed, we also began exploring the Easter story, reflecting on themes of new life and hope.

It has been a joyful and busy term, full of curiosity, creativity, and growing independence. We are so proud of all the learning and friendships that continue to blossom in our Kindy!
Mrs Jess Hanretty
Kindy Teacher
Our Kindy children have been enthusiastically engaging in risky play within their playground, building confidence, resilience, and independence through hands-on exploration. Whether climbing, balancing, or navigating new challenges, students are learning to assess risk, make safe choices, and develop problem-solving skills in a supportive environment. Risky play is an important part of early childhood development, helping children to build courage, persistence, and a strong sense of self as capable learners.
