St Patrick's Day Mass

St Patrick's Day Mass

Recently, some of our senior students had the wonderful privilege of travelling into the city to attend the annual Melbourne Archdiocese of Catholic Schools Mass for students. This is always a significant and special event on the calendar, as we gathered to honour St. Patrick, who is proudly the Patron Saint of our Archdiocese.

The excitement started before we even reached the church! The students enjoyed a fun train ride into Melbourne, which included a memorable trip up the famously steep escalators atParliament Station (quite an experience and a talking point for those who hadn't tackled them before)!

Upon arriving at St. Patrick's Cathedral, our students were immediately in awe of the magnificent, towering architecture of the building itself.  The students jaws dropped as soon as we entered the cathedral trying to take it all in. The Mass was absolutely beautiful, steeped in reverence and elevated by incredible, uplifting singing that echoed beautifully throughout the historic space.

Following the Mass, the celebration continued in the nearby Treasury Gardens. This was a fantastic opportunity for our students to connect with peers from Catholic schools all across the archdiocese whilst enjoying a lively concert filled with fantastic music.  Our students also got to participate in other activities hosted by Australian Catholic University students.

It was a truly memorable excursion for everyone involved, highlighting the strength and vibrancy of our broader Catholic community.
