Year 9 Careers

Throughout the year, Year 9 Careers students will engage with professionals from a variety of industries to gain insight into different career pathways and journeys. We will welcome guest speakers to the College to provide valuable information that will assist students in making informed decisions about their future careers.

Our first guest speaker was Nathan, the Site Manager from Rivett Construction, who is overseeing the construction of the College. Nathan is a qualified Civil Engineer, Carpenter, and Joiner, as well as a registered builder.

He provided students with valuable insights into the building and construction industry, including current trends, required qualifications, and the best pathways to employment in this field.

Students had the opportunity to ask questions, explore potential salaries, and reflect on whether a career in construction might be right for them.

Throughout the year, we have more guest speakers lined up, along with the Year 9 Career Taster Program offerings. We aim to engage as many Year 9 students as possible, guiding them in developing potential career pathways and supporting them on this journey at Salvado Catholic College and beyond.
