Dear Karoo PS Community,
Thank you to our wonderful school community for a fantastic Term 1. Your enthusiasm, support, and hard work have made it a truly exciting start to the year. From students and staff to families and volunteers, everyone has contributed to creating our inclusive, positive learning environment.
The Karoo PS Colour Run 2026 is almost here! Only 29 days to go! The event will take place on Friday, 1st May from 4:00pm to 5:30pm at Karoo PS.
This exciting event is our MAJOR fundraiser for the year, helping us enhance our school by completing upgrades to our basketball courts and purchasing additional decodable readers to support student learning. I am excited to share that we have already raised over $7500 and are now over halfway to our goal of $15,000 - What an incredibly supportive community we have! Keep up the great fundraising efforts :)
Our winning classes of our first incentive of an 'icy pole and movie' afternoon is: 1D, FD & FT. A huge congratulations on achieving having the most students logged onto our platform by Thursday 2nd April @ 9am. We look forward to your celebrations!
To find out more about the prizes up for grabs and the next incentives, please have a look through our KPS Colour Run Information Booklet
Includes prize details, student and class incentives, and the course outline.

If you need support logging on to the platform, please see the information below;
Step-by-step instructions:

Once you set up your child's fundraising page - they can start fundraising straight away!
Lastly, we have created a KPS Colour Run Social Story, which you are welcome to read with your child, to support them to understand what the colour run will look and feel like.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact your child’s teacher, the school office, or myself. Thank you in advance for your support! We can’t wait to see our community come together for this fun and colourful event! Happy fundraising Karoo PS!
At Karoo PS, we have many fun community events throughout the year, however many of these are only able to occur with the support of our KPA and families volunteering their time. Volunteering to support at school comes with many benefits, not only does it support the school it also connects the volunteer to other parents/families and gives a positive feeling that comes from giving back.
We would like to provide as much opportunity for our community to be involved, and as a result our KPA has created a KPA Volunteer Google form. The form outlines all the events that are coming up over the rest of the year and provides you with the opportunity to put your hand up and come and join the team when you can. Our first event is the Colour Run - so please jump onto the link and come join the KPA and our school community to support our sensational school to thrive!

Thank you to all our community that came to support our Easter Bonnet Parade this morning! What a sensational event! It was wonderful to see the colourful Easter Bonnets on show from our Foundation to Year 2 students and how supportive our 3-6 students were of their peers.
