Governing Council Members

The Governing Council at Lockleys North Primary School is a hard-working group of parents and staff who work collaboratively to provide a quality learning environment for your children.

Its members are responsive to any issues that arise, and their role is to determine the views of our local community with regard to the educational needs of the school. The Governing Council informs the Principal of these views and needs.

We have 7 vacancies starting in 2025 and are calling for nominations from members of the school community to stand for Council. Councillors elected serve for two years.  

Meetings are for about 2 hours (7.00-9.00pm) twice a term.  If you would like further information regarding Governing Council, or would like to nominate for a vacancy please email  tyson.grinham428@schools.sa.edu.au by 3pm Friday 6th November. 

There will be an election of people after this date in which the whole school community is provided with a voting slip if we have more nominations than vacancies.

We encourage parents to get involved and stand for election to the Council. 

Materials and Services Fees

Please find attached below the proposed fees for Materials and Services Charges for 2026 for Year 3 and Rec, 1, 2, 4, 5 and 6. These charges will be inclusive of all costs for 2026 year with the exception of incursions/excursions and camps.  

The notice of charges has been approved by the Department for Education and has the watermark applied to confirm approval.

The Finance Committee has passed recommendation to present the Material and Services Charges for 2026 at $870 for Year 3 and $445 for other years at the next Governing Council Meeting. 

The increase is keeping in line with the DfE CPI.

The fees assist us to continue the work of the school and provide positive and successful learning experiences for your children.

The Material and Services charges for the 2026 year will be discussed at the next meeting of the Governing Council held on Monday 27th October 2025 at 7.00pm, you are invited to attend to discuss these charges.
