TERM 4 WEEK 2 2025

Welcome Back!

Welcome back to all our families, students, and staff to Term 4, 2025! We hope everyone enjoyed a relaxing and refreshing holiday break. It’s been wonderful to see our students return with such enthusiasm and energy for the final term of the year.

There’s already a real sense of excitement around the school as we prepare for our 65th Anniversary Community Night. This event is always a highlight on the school calendar, and our students are busy preparing their showcase of learning. It is going to be an amazing event, so please see the 65th Anniversary page in the newsletter for explicit details.

Term 4 is also a special time for our school grounds. The warmer weather has brought our native plants into full bloom, and our gardens and lawns are looking fantastic. A big thank you to our grounds team, Peter and Isaac, for their ongoing hard work and dedication in keeping our outdoor spaces looking their best.

A friendly reminder that hats are required for all students when outdoors this term. Hats can be purchased from the Uniform Shop on Wednesday afternoons, or anytime through our online store. Students without hats will need to stay in shaded areas during break times and outdoor lessons.

We’re looking forward to another exciting and rewarding term as we wrap up the 2025 school year together!

FRIDAY 31st OCTOBER 2024

World Teachers’ Day honours the dedication, hard work, and passion of teachers who play a crucial role in shaping the minds and futures of our children.

Let's celebrate our wonderful LNPS teachers!

World Teachers' Day is a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the incredible work teachers do every day. By celebrating this day and showing our appreciation, we can help create a supportive and encouraging environment that allows teachers to thrive and continue making a positive impact on our children's lives.

We will have a coffee van on Friday morning and a luncheon as part of our celebration. Community members are welcome to purchase a coffee from 8:20.

Staffing

We have two staffing announcements as we come to the end of the year.

  • Jalna Anspach has accepted a teaching position at Yalata Anangu School for 2026, in an Aboriginal community about 200km west of Ceduna.  This is an opportunity that Jalna wanted to  give a go one day and saw a job and decided to apply. Jalna is an amazing person and teacher and is going to be missed by the LNPS community.

  • Mandy Jones after 40 years with the Department for Education and 17 years at LNPS had decided to retire at the end of the year.  Mandy has been an integral part of the LNPS school community, a passionate educator, a supportive colleague, and a constant source of kindness and professionalism. Her dedication to her students and her commitment to public education have left a lasting impact on everyone she’s worked with.

We will be celebrating these wonderful staff members later in the term.
