Term 3 has begun at a wonderful pace, with much to celebrate across our College community. From student achievements and special events to the many moments of learning, growth, and connection that take place each day, it has already been a busy and rewarding start to the term.
NAIDOC Assembly
Our College community was privileged to celebrate a wonderful NAIDOC Week Assembly, which was a meaningful and inspiring occasion for students and staff. The assembly provided an opportunity to honour and celebrate the histories, cultures, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples; while reflecting on the importance of respect, reconciliation, and walking together in the spirit of truth and justice. We congratulate all First Nations students who contributed to the assembly through their leadership and thoughtful reflections, and we thank them for creating such a respectful and engaging celebration for our community. We also thank Mr Mark Beetson for his moving keynote address.

Years 7-10 Academic Awards
Please find below an excerpt from my speech which I delivered to the girls on this day.
Academic awards are often seen as recognising intelligence or high achievement. While they certainly celebrate academic excellence, they also represent something much deeper. They celebrate perseverance, curiosity, discipline, and integrity. They celebrate the quiet determination to keep learning, even when no-one is watching. The students we recognise today have demonstrated these qualities through their commitment to their studies and their willingness to strive for excellence.
Continue to be curious. Continue to work hard. Continue to be courageous enough to ask questions, embrace challenges, and keep learning.
As we begin Semester 2, I encourage each girl to take a moment to reflect on what they would like to accomplish this semester and to set a few meaningful goals.
