Laptop Chargers and Headphones - Your libraries now have laptop chargers AND single sets of headphones available for loan. These can be borrowed from any library desk for part of the day (not overnight) and are scanned onto your student or staff library card – just like a book 😊

Lunchtime Libraries – Visit any of our GSSC libraries daily for Lunchtime Libraries. Remember to pop out and eat your lunch first (no food in the library please) then come in at 1:40 to enjoy the space, play some games such as Guess Who, Connect 4, Uno and others, relax with a great read, or just catch up with friends.

New Books - To find your next favourite read, check out the fantastic displays in each library, use the library catalogue ‘OPAC’ to search a book up, browse through the Library Portal on Compass, or chat to your friendly librarian who will always have a suggestion.

CBCA Book Week – Be ready for a fun and busy August with all things reading! CBCA Book Week this year has the theme of ‘A Symphony of Stories’ running from 22nd-28th August, stay tuned for our GSSC Library activities! 

There is large list of  CBCA notable titles for 2026 Children’s Book Council of Australia – and GSSC libraries have them all! Browse through the booklet of notable titles and check out our displays – if you NH doesn’t have what you are looking for, check the others, or ask us 😊
