Music Update

Interesting music fact: A Stanford study shows that playing music engages areas of the brain which are involved with paying attention, making predictions and updating events in our memory.

LEARN TO PLAY AN INSTRUMENT AT EMC

Next week, all of the Year 7 students will participate in the Instrumental Music information sessions where they will be introduced to all of the instruments available to learn at the College. Learning to play an instrument is available to all students at EMC and at Year 7 the cost for lessons for the year is $300. Most instruments are also available to hire for $275. We do not hire out guitars or percussion packs. Students have lessons during class time and are also part of one of our ensembles which rehearse either at lunchtime or after school. Lessons rotate each week so that students are not missing the same class each week.
