PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Mrs Jillian Rainger

jrainger@arm.catholic.edu.au

It is a pleasure to share the highlights of another busy week as we head towards the close of the school year.

Secondary School Transition and Events

Our Year 10 Family Dinner and Dance last week was a truly wonderful evening—a fantastic celebration as our students prepare to take their next exciting step! Given our transition to offering Years 11 and 12, this event is no longer a graduation dinner but a recognition of their successful journey to date.

The Year 10 Copeton Dam experience was also a resounding success, offering a positive opportunity for bonding and growth. This spirit of positive change continues as we plan for a revitalised Student Representative Council (SRC) structure in 2026 to best serve our expanding secondary school.

I also want to send my best wishes to Mrs Guest, Mr Baldwin, and the ten Year 10 students who departed early on Saturday morning for the Australian Catholic Youth Festival (ACYF) in Melbourne. I am certain they will have a positive and faith-enriching time.

On the campus front, the refurbishment of our Secondary Staffroom is right on track and is scheduled to be fully operational for the start of the 2026 school year.

Primary Excursion Adventures

It was wonderful to hear such enthusiasm about the recent primary excursions, all designed to encourage students to step outside their comfort zones and experience great activities:

  • Year 6: Canberra
  • Year 5: Lake Keepit
  • Year 4: Copeton Dam
  • Year 3: Thalgarrah

These experiences are invaluable in complementing classroom learning and fostering independence. Thank you to our dedicated staff who organised these educational experiences and our families for supporting these opportunities for their children.

Inspiration from Our Alumni

I recently attended the Principal's meeting in Tamworth, where the guest speaker was an former Holy Trinity School student. She is now the first Pro Vice-Chancellor (Indigenous) at Australian Catholic University, and her address was truly inspirational. It was a powerful reminder that our Holy Trinity students truly can go anywhere and be anything they set their minds to.

Demonstrating Our Catholic Values: Thanksgiving Mass Appeal

Our Thanksgiving Mass is one of the most important events in our calendar as it is a practical way for us to demonstrate our Catholic values by supporting those less fortunate than ourselves.

We are collecting items for the Vinnies Christmas Hamper. Please, I urge you to give what you can. If every student and staff member brings in just one item, we would collectively gather over 600 items to make someone's Christmas much better. Thank you in advance for your generosity.
