Prep learning highlights
Maths
Students have been learning two and three-part movement patterns by identifying and continuing simple sequences like clap–stomp–jump, helping them recognise order and repetition. The students are having a go predicting what comes next and explaining the pattern.
Humanities
Prep students are learning what the word “family” means by discussing the different people who can belong to a family. They talk about family members such as parents, siblings, grandparents, and carers, and share who is in their own family. Through these conversations, students understand that families can look different and that all families are special and unique.

Premiers' Reading Challenge
The Premiers' Reading Challenge has now begun, inviting students to explore the world of stories and build a lifelong love of reading. This is a wonderful opportunity for children to discover new books, authors and ideas while developing important reading skills. We encourage families to support their child by reading regularly and logging completed books online. Enjoy sharing reading time together at home — whether it’s a picture book, chapter book or independent reading, every book truly makes a difference!
