Principals Weekly Update

Dear Armadale Community,

Stonnington Council are trialling 30km road speeds on the roads that surround APS. This is mainly on Northcote Road and Densham Road from Rose Street to Munro Street. The trial starts on Monday 19 October and we want to raise our community's awareness of this change.

District Athletics

Congratulations to all those children who recently competed in the Beachside District Athletics Competition at Duncan McKinnon Oval last Friday.

Blake A has progressed to the Regionals for long jump for the 9-10 boy's category. Poppy L competed in the 9-10 girls 80m hurdles and came 13th, Leila W participated in the discus hurling, the 9-10 boys relay team (James H, Blake A, Leo M and Harrison M) came 8th overall and Jeremiah came 10th for the boys 12-13 long jump. It was an outstanding effort to even get to the districts competition for all these students, and we excitedly await to hear about Blake's result in the upcoming regionals.

Film Festival

Last term, our children explored Media Arts with Luca, developing their creativity and storytelling skills as they planned, created and produced their own films. The culmination of their learning was the APS Film Festival, where they proudly shared their creations.

As promised, we are delighted to share these films with our school community! To view the children’s wonderful work, please visit the Armadale Primary School Short Film Festival tab. We hope you enjoy watching their creative efforts as much as they enjoyed making them!

APS Fun Run - Tuesday 17 November

The excitement is building for our APS Fun Run! Our children are keen to start fundraising and unlock some fantastic whole-school prizes.

Our fundraising website is now live, with four weeks of fundraising and exciting prizes along the way. Families can get started by scanning the QR code or logging in via the APS Fun Run website. Visit the website to see the prizes on offer!

Funds raised will support our new monkey bars, nature playground and yarning circle, as well as improvements to our front fence to enhance school safety.

Every contribution, big or small, will help create wonderful spaces for our children to play, explore and connect. Thank you for supporting APS and helping make our 2026 Fun Run a fantastic community event!
