Performing Arts News

In Performing Arts, students from Grade 3-6 who have a particular interest in playing an instrument or singing were invited to perform for their peers in a performance showcase. 

They committed to the performance several weeks ago, discussed their plans with me and were given the opportunity to practice during lunch time for preparation. Many students also worked alongside their private teacher to polish their pieces of work. 

During each class lesson in Week 10, these students bravely took to the stage to introduce and then perform their pieces. 

It was a wonderful opportunity for these students to showcase their talents and dedication by entertaining us all. The members of the audience also demonstrated great respect for the performers by showing active listening skills and applauding their work at the end. 

Well done to all students on their performances, and I look forward to expanding this project and making it a regular St. Brendan’s Showcase event!
