Parents' Club are SO excited to share that Newport Lakes PS has WON the Grill'd Local Matters competition for August! That means $300 back to our school!
This is all thanks to YOU. Every burger purchased and every token dropped in our jar made this happen. What an incredible show of community spirit. A huge, heartfelt thank you to the wonderful Julie Malkin, who was the brains behind getting our school signed up for this fantastic local fundraiser.
The $300 will go directly towards supporting our school events and programs, so every token really does count. The NLPS community rocks!
Father's & Special Person's Breakfast
All families are warmly invited to join us for a special morning celebrating the meaningful relationships within our NLPS community on Friday 4th September from 7:45am to 8:45am.
Come and soak up the morning atmosphere together. Adults and children can indulge with baked goods from local favourite Cobb Lane Bakery. There will also be some optional jams/conserves to top your croissant with on the day.
Orders are now closed, but that doesn't mean you can't still join in the festivities.
BYO breakfast treats or just come to school a little earlier to celebrate!
2026 Colour Run is now LIVE!
Flyers have been sent home with students, outlining instructions on how to create your child's personal fundraising page.
What Families Need to Know
Parents’ Club are excited to launch the NLPS Colour Fun Run, a whole-school fundraising event that brings students, families, and staff together for fun, colour, community spirit, and a shared goal! The Colour Fun Run event will take place on Friday 16th October.
Every student participates in the Colour Fun Run, regardless of whether they fundraise. If your child/ren does not want colour thrown on them, please have them wear a non white coloured t-shirt (e.g. red or black).
Most importantly, this event is about inclusion, community spirit, teamwork, and shared achievement. Every student is part of the celebration.
What’s the Goal?
Your tax deductable donation is going towards lots of exciting things to upgrade and improve our student spaces (upgrades scheduled to commence during Term 3 holidays), including:
- Revamping the school quiet yard
- Creating a new outdoor classroom space next to the Gym
- An exciting new ‘surprise’ playground addition to come!
Get involved!
Weekly prizes are on offer for the classes that raise the most each week - the more you share with your friends and family asking for donations, the more opportunities there are for your class to win!
All you need to do is set up a profile for your child/ren in their class fundraising page and share your personal link to your friends and family... let's try and raise as much money as we can!

We asked, and thank you for the responses; to encourage more engagement we will try to book in coffee catch ups close to the bi-monthly meeting dates for anyone that finds school hour meetings easier to make.
