Foundation
Foundation students have finished their final project for Term 3! After reading "The Mixed-Up Chameleon," they used a foil and water printing technique to create their own colourful chameleon prints.

Years 1/2
Years 1/2 have finished their mixed media quilts, with students mastering the simple sewing technique around their artwork.

Years 3/4
Years 3/4 have completed their Ugly Dolls, which have now made their way home. To finish off the term, they've been looking into Picasso and creating collaged portraits, exploring fragmented form and multiple perspectives.

Years 5/6
Years 5/6 have been working on their paper mâché bowls, painting them and prepping them ready to add their Klimt-inspired designs next term.

We are finishing the term with a big musical experience!
At our final assembly, every student from Foundation to Year 6 will be involved in one special song, bringing our whole school community together through singing and instruments.
A big congratulations to our five Music Captains, who have organised and supported students in performing at our very first lunchtime concert this week. Their leadership, enthusiasm and encouragement have helped make it a wonderful celebration of student talent.
A special shout-out to all the students who signed up and performed at our lunchtime concerts! It has been fantastic to see so many students confidently sharing their musical talents with the school community.

We are also incredibly grateful to the Ripponlea Parent Band, the Ripoffs, who have been finalists in the Battle of the Bands over the past few years. Their success has helped support our Music Department, with their winnings enabling us to this term purchase a spectacular marimba, alto xylophone and percussion instruments for our students to enjoy and learn from.

🎤 Girls Choir Opportunity – Wednesday 14 October 2026
We are excited to welcome the Australian Girls Choir to Ripponlea Primary for a special half-hour session for students to audition and to discover more about joining a choir.
Students will need parent/guardian permission to participate. You can get the information at the front office. We warmly welcome any students that are interested.
It’s wonderful to see music continuing to grow as such an important part of our school community! 🎶
