Group 6

Group 6 has had a busy first half of term 2! This term we have been focusing on our school's theme ‘Books and characters’. The students have enjoyed following along with a new book each week by exploring with props, creating book themed crafts and following along with a song. Group 6 has especially loved ‘The Rainbow fish’ and ‘The Hungry Caterpillar’. 

Group 6 has been discovering a new letter of the alphabet each week. We explore a new letter by listening to songs, practicing tracing the letters and creating a craft connected to the letter. A fan favourite was our letter O where the students created a beautiful octopus with glitter! 

We also celebrated ‘Education week’. The students created their own posters to demonstrate how proud they are of their school. Each student chose what their favourite activity at school is, a fan favourite was swimming and group circle. We also celebrated what makes our school special. Our school chickens, our fun playground and our beautiful friends in our class were all proudly chosen by the students. 

We are so proud of how hard the students have worked this term and all they have achieved. We are looking forward to many more exciting moments ahead!
