Ringwood North District Cross Country - Tuesday 14th May
Last Tuesday, the Grade 3 to 6 students who finished in the top 10 at our recent House Cross Country competed in the next level of competition. Our students faced the challenge of a demanding Cross Country Course at Quambee Reserve featuring plenty of uneven ground and challenging hills. The competition was fierce, with approximately 100 participants in each race. The 12/13-year-olds and the 11 years olds tackled a rigorous 3km course, while the 9/10-year-olds navigated a 2km route.
Every one of our students pushed themselves to their limits, evident from their exhaustion at the finish line. We take immense pride in the fact that every Kalinda student completed the race, contributing valuable points to our school.
Qualifying for the District level is a remarkable achievement in itself, and each student should be very proud of their perseverance and dedication, regardless of their final standing.
A special congratulations to Charlotte who finished in 8th place and Ryder who finished in 6th place and will be competing at Division level in a few weeks’ time. We wish them all the very best! Also well done to Bentley who finished in 11th place and Lachlan who finished in 12th place and are listed as emergencies for the Division competition.
Kind Regards,
Jessica Oakley & Bianca Davies
