100 Days Celebration
This week, our Prep students marked a very special milestone – 100 days of school! The excitement was high as children arrived on Monday dressed as 100-year-olds, complete with grey hair, moustaches, slippers, walking sticks, and plenty of wrinkles! Others chose festive outfits to mark the occasion, embracing the spirit of celebration with creativity and enthusiasm.
Classrooms were transformed with colourful balloons and streamers, setting the scene for a fun-filled day. Students took part in writing activities reflecting on their first 100 days of learning – a chance to celebrate how much they’ve grown and achieved since the beginning of the year.
The children decorated cookies with the number 100 on them. The students also participated in counting activities involving 100 items, building numeracy skills in a hands-on, meaningful way.
The celebrations wrapped up with a parade and a Granny Dance at Assembly in front of peers and proud families. We even had a surprise visit from the fabulous Pa Perini, Granny Cotterell, and Granny O’Flynn, who brought plenty of laughs and joy to the event.
A huge thank you to the wonderful parents who helped supply 100 cupcakes – they were a big hit and enjoyed by all!
It was a memorable day full of laughter, learning, and celebration – a wonderful way to recognise the hard work and fun of the first 100 days of Prep!
