President's Message

Rod Tobin

Dear Families,

What school council means to me: Shaping Tomorrow, Today

Being a Parent Member and President of our School Council is an experience that goes far beyond chairing meetings or reviewing policies. To me, it means holding a profound responsibility to lead our council and actively shape the future of our school. It is a role defined by strategic collaboration, community advocacy, and an unwavering commitment to educational excellence.

When you lead the discussions and decisions that drives the schools development and improvement, you are investing directly in our community's future. Every strategic goal our council sets influences the daily lives and future opportunities of our students. Witnessing these choices translate into tangible improvements across our school grounds is incredibly rewarding.

During my time serving on the council, I have been incredibly proud to be involved in several recent milestones that are already transforming our students experience:

  • Upgrading student transport: We successfully approved and secured the purchase of new school buses to ensure safe, reliable travel for excursions and sport.
  • Enhancing our community spaces: We oversaw the installation of new retractable hall seating in the main hall, turning it into a first-class venue for assemblies and events.
  • Investing in play and wellbeing: We rolled out brand-new and updated playgrounds across the entire school to give students better spaces to connect and stay active.

At its core, the School Council serves as the ultimate voice for our entire school community. As President, my priority is to ensure that we represent all parents, bringing your perspectives, ideas, and feedback directly into the school’s leadership direction.

It is a privilege to lead a passionate team of educators and community members, knowing that our collective voice is building a stronger, more vibrant learning environment for everyone.

If you want to make a real, lasting difference and contribute to our school's bright future, I highly encourage anyone to step forward and join us. For more information please contact the School Council Secretary, Jo Garofalo, via the school office.

Regards,

Rod Tobin
