The Issue Highlights
Dear Families,
Please note that we have had a number of cases of Gastro in Prep over the last week. In an outbreak of gastroenteritis, exclude until there has not been vomiting or a loose bowel motion for 48 hours. Thank you. Get well soon!

Bullying No Way Week!
We recognised Bullying No Way Week between 17–21 August 2026. Bullying No Way Week is Australia's key bullying prevention initiative for schools. It provides an opportunity for schools to create a shared understanding about bullying behaviours and share their bullying prevention policies and strategies.
Bullying is everyone’s responsibility, and small acts can make a real difference.
This year’s theme reminds us that actions don’t need to be big to change someone’s world. Small actions – like including someone, speaking up or showing kindness – can create meaningful change. It takes a community to be brave and address bullying behaviours, within and beyond the school gate. Students can be bold, kind and take a stand to support others being bullied. In our community and in our school, we want a place where everyone can belong, a place that celebrates everyone, and where bullying is never accepted. This Bullying No Way Week, we're asking students, schools, families and communities to be bold and say something, be kind and support someone, and be proud to take a stand against bullying.
See our SchoolTV page for information for families on Bullying.
Updated Photo Permission Policy
In line with updated Department of Education requirements, photo, video and recording permissions will now require specific, one-off parent/carer consent rather than ongoing consent or families to opt-out. Thank you to the families who have already completed this form and returned it to the school office. We will be calling families to follow-up these permissions where the form hasn't been returned.
Families will be asked to provide consent for three separate areas:
If you have any questions or would like a new permission form please contact the school office on 03 9366 4322.
Car Parking

Thank you for your ongoing support in managing traffic and car parking around Jackson School. The safety of our students, staff and families when onsite remains our continued priority.
We are aware that Brimbank Council has been issuing fines to families who park in front of the cross-over on Legana St despite the parking signs. This area is shown in the photos above. School Council are working with Brimbank Council to remove this cross-over to avoid further penalty notices being issued to families. In the meantime please do not park across this cross-over.
To reduce the amount of vehicles at student collection time, if you would like to access the free Student Disability Transport Program (SDTP) bus please contact the school office.
