Premier's Sporting Challenge

Whole of Term 3

MPS is officially registered for the 10-week Premier's Sporting Challenge this term. Students are encouraged to aim for 60 mins of daily activity, recording their progress in logbooks to earn tiered award certificates.

👨‍🦰 Father’s Day Stall: Spoil Dad and Support Our School!

The annual Father’s Day Stall is back, and it’s the perfect chance for our students to find something special for the wonderful men in their lives.

Organised and run by our dedicated P&C, the stall offers a fantastic range of high-quality gifts. To keep things simple for the kids, every item is priced at just $10 each. Every dollar raised goes directly back to the P&C to fund school projects, equipment, and resources that benefit all our children.

Creative Arts Night & Bake Sale - Cash only

Thursday 3 September, 6 pm

Dance, recorders, orchestra, drama and choir are showcasing items they've been working on this year! Bring a rug or a cushion to sit on in the hall and bring some cash to purchase baked goodies and drinks from the Cooking Club.

Book Club Issue #6

Due Friday 4 September

Issue #6 is had been distributed, and with Book Week just around the corner, now is a great time to encourage reading!

The closing date for issue 6 is 4th September. Make sure to get your orders in before then!

Book Parade and Book Fair

Monday 7 September

Students can dress up as their favourite book character and have the opportunity to purchase books and stationery from the Book Fair in the hall.

9-9:45 am Parade at the Back COLA for Years 3-6, K/6C and K/6R

10-10:45 am Parade at the Back COLA for Years K-2 and K/6B

Book Fair Information

This week your child will bring home a Scholastic Book Fair ‘Wish List’ (red form). They will also bring home an Order form (blue form).

The Wish List form is a list of books, diaries or kits your child has previewed at the Book Fair viewing this week and that he/she ‘wishes’ to purchase. You are under no obligation to purchase from the Wish List.

However, if you do wish to purchase some books, diaries or kits there are three ways students can purchase books at our upcoming Book Fair:

Send your child to school with money on the day of the Book Fair (Monday 7 September)
Come along on the day and purchase books with your child (Monday 7 September), card and Eftpos payments welcome
Place an online order

8:15-8:40 am Students with parents and carers can attend the Book Fair in the hall before school

9:9:45 am K-2 and K/6B students with their parents and carers can attend the Book Fair. You will need to collect your child from the classroom and return them back to class by 9:45 am

10-10:45 am 3-6, K/6C and K/6 R with their parents and carers can attend the Book Fair

11:15 am All students, whose parents and carers did not come, can attend the Book Fair

If you wish to place an online order, scan the QR code on the order form, search for Meadowbank Public School from the search bar, enter your child’s name and write the receipt number on the order form after making the payment. Please ensure the total amount paid matches the books ordered.

Please RETURN the online order form with receipt and payment recorded on the back. The order form is to be placed in the Post Box outside the office.

Online order forms must be returned to school no later than: Friday 11 September.

Please note that books purchased online will arrive a few weeks after the Book Fair. Students will not receive them on the day of the Book Fair.

Stationery (pens, pencils, erasers etc.) cannot be purchased online, so please do not include them on the order form.

12:15 pm in the school hall. Parents and carers are welcome to attend.

County Fair

Monday 21 September

A day of fun for our current students only as we raise funds to support the Year 6 Farewell!

How to support:

Armband - $12 Unlimited access to all games and stallsexcluding the White Elephant Stall (Pre-order on SchoolBytes by Monday 14 September)
Sausage Sizzle and Juice - $5 (Pre-order on School Bytes by Monday 14 September). Vegetarian, halal and gluten-free options will be available.
White Elephant Stall - $1-$5 (Bring your own cash on the day)
There will also be free activities on the day.
