Creating Futures Together

📚Library News

WHSC has had an outstanding year in the library so far, with borrowing figures reflecting the strong reading culture among our students.

⭐ Year 7 Reading Stars

Our Year 7 students have shown particular enthusiasm, with many students exploring a wide range of genres—especially our popular Manga collection.

Some of the standout readers in Year 7 include:

  • Ryan Liu – 113 loans
  • Alex Barr – 80 loans
  • Winston Zhao – 47 loans
  • Pippa Li – 39 loans

We know many more Year 7 students are also dedicated readers—thank you all for your love of books!

Outstanding Readers in Years 9 & 10

We are also proud to celebrate our committed readers:

  • Elias Petschel (Year 9) – 378 loans
  • Lexter Li (Year 9) – 141 loans
  • Leah Kendrick (Year 10) – 111 loans

These students have shown consistent engagement with the library since Year 7, and continue to set a great example for their peers.

We know many students also borrow from their local libraries and have personal book collections at home. It’s heartwarming to see a genuine passion for reading flourishing across all year levels.   Keep up the great reading, everyone!

Jigsaw Puzzle Turned into Art!

A big thank you to the students who helped bring our latest jigsaw puzzle to life—you know who you are! 😊 the finished puzzle looked so fantastic (and with a perfect bookish theme!) that I couldn’t just pack it away. Instead, we framed it and gave it a well-deserved spot on the library wall. Come check it out next time you’re in!
