 Term 2

Education Week

It was wonderful to see so many families attend our community events at Bundoora and Watsonia for Education Week. Bundoora invited families to visit their child’s classrooms to celebrate their learning followed by a shared morning tea. Watsonia had a Mothers Day combined with special persons afternoon where families participated in many activities. It was lovely to see so many families across both campus’, it is always a highlight for students and staff to have community events.

Big Build Excursions

The Big Build have reached out to Concord to offer experiences for our students to go behind the scenes to learn about construction, transportation and the developing roads around our area. A group of students visited the site last week to look around, ask questions and to hear a presentation from the lead engineer.

Banyule Track & Field

30 students from Year 7-12 competed in the School Sport Victoria Banyule Division Track & Field Championships at Meadowglen Athletics Stadium in Epping. Students competed in 100m, 200m, 800m, long jump and shot-put events with some excellent results on the day. Students who qualified will attend the next round of competition in Term 3. We are looking forward to seeing them train and represent Concord School again at the Regional event.

Take care,
