SRC Consultation for our Vision and Values

In Week 1, the Concord School staff participated in a whole-school Curriculum Day focussed on our Vision and Values. Guided by a facilitator, staff engaged in thoughtful reflection and collaboration to explore who we are as a community, what we stand for, and how we bring these principles to life in our daily work at Concord School.

The principal team met with the students in the SRC this week to gain their views about Concord School.  We discussed the following questions:

  • What makes you happy at school?
  • Outline your best day at school (Real or aspirational)
  • What are some of the things that staff do to help you learn at Concord School?
  • What does it feel like if you 'belong'?
  • How do you feel like you're 'connected' with Concord School?
  • What does it mean/look like if you have shown 'growth'?

We look forward to collating all the responses to guide us moving forward.

Australia’s Biggest Morning

Last week some of the Secondary 11/12 VET classes hosted Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea at Bundoora campus. This event raised over $500 for the Cancer Council to support the important work they do. The students and staff from the Secondary 11/12 team worked behind the scenes to prepare the food and set up the morning tea in the staff room. It was such a successful event!
