Holy Family Athletics Carnival went off with a blast on Monday and we are so happy to report it was a huge success. Behind the scenes, this event takes a village to organise from the endless administrative tasks to the carloads of deliveries of event equipment, there was someone there to take the load. Staff and parents worked together to make it happen and we are deeply grateful for our generous volunteers without whom, the carnival would not be possible.

As you can appreciate, we are now tasked with the duties of determining our age champs for each gender and age group as well as our zone team to attend the zone carnival on 13th August. Whilst we got through most year's shotput, discus and long jump events at the carnival this week, we still need to cover high jump and some other small gaps in class lessons. This will take some time, and I anticipate the team will have it sorted in the coming weeks. Thanks for your support and patience. I promise we are working around the clock to have it done as quickly as possible, with the rain once again doing its best to play a starring role!

SPORTS SCOOP

This week on Sports Scoop, we had our amazing Athletics Carnival, and it was such a fun day. We were all really happy that it didn’t rain, so everyone could enjoy the events without any worries.

There was cheering everywhere, and everyone was supporting their friends and giving their best. It didn’t matter who won, the important thing was that we all tried hard and had a great time together.

We’re excited to see the awards soon, but what matters most is the fun we had. And of course, we want to give a huge thank‑you to Mrs Gibbs, all the teachers and paent helpers for organising everything. The day wouldn’t have been possible without her.

It was an awesome carnival, and we can’t wait for the next one.

Have a lovely week.
