ANZAC Day report - Community Captains Pippa and Penelope.

On the 24th of April the School Captains (Xander and Amelia) and the Community Captains (Pippa and Penelope) went to the Hampton RSL, which stands for Return Services League, for a special Anzac Day service.

The School Captains did the Ode of Remembrance and the Community Captains brought up the wreath on behalf of BBPS. At the presentation were also other schools from around the Bayside area, such as Hampton, Sandringham, Sandringham East and Black Rock Primary Schools.

The Community Captain's favorite part was the wreath ceremony, where each school brought a wreath and put it on a cenotaph where there were crocheted poppies. The School Captain's favourite part was when they recited the Ode of Remembrance.

Some schools sang some songs such as Imagine and we all sang the National Anthem with the St Leonards choir and orchestra playing and singing in the background.

Tim Wilson and James Newbury were also at the RSL paying their respects to the soldiers who have fought to make Australia a wonderful place to live.
