Student Ministry

The Year 10 students spent a day with the Youth Mission Team (YMT) for their retreat on site.

Social Justice was the theme of the retreat where they learnt that all people, regardless of age, gender, skills and abilities, are of worth because they are created ‘in the image and likeness of God’ (Genesis 1:27) and they deserve human dignity.

The Youth Ministry Team engaged the students with interactive games to get them warmed up with each other and then have students participate in charades. Some members of the YMT shared their personal stories of their experience of Jesus and performed a drama.

Students were given opportunities for reflection and how they can contribute to make the world a better place. Finally, the students were invited to make a commitment to have a relationship with Jesus by signing the cross. It was great to see that students enjoyed themselves throughout the day and interacted with the members of YMT.
