Congratulations!

Congratulations to Dalal Smiley, CEO of Wellsprings for Women, on being inducted into the Victorian Honour Roll of Women 2024 in the category of ‘Local Champion’! 

The Hon. Natalie Hutchins MP announced the inductees at a ceremony held at the Arts Centre Melbourne last week, with 21 women inducted. The Honour Roll celebrates the outstanding contributions made by Victorian women and acknowledges the many ways in which they have made a lasting contribution to our state.

Dalal is the third woman at Wellsprings to be inducted into the Victorian Honor Roll of Women, joining previous Board Chair and current Trustee, Anne Astin and the founder of Wellsprings, Sr Ann Halpin PBVM.

Dalal is most deserving of this honour in recognition of the significant impact she has had in Victoria due to her passion and tireless commitment to supporting migrant women.  This excerpt from the statement about her induction sums this up perfectly:

“Her efforts go well beyond the parameters of her job, occupying most of her waking hours. Supporting migrant women to thrive is a lifelong passion.”
