Trustees at Work - Clonard College

In September, the Trustees conducted their second ministry visit for 2024, spending two enriching days at Clonard College in Geelong. During their time at the College, they had the opportunity to engage with both staff and students and explore the campus.

The visit began with a memorable Welcome to Country, delivered in language by two students as the group gathered around the Brigidine flame. This was followed by student-led tours of the College. The Trustees were fortunate to visit the Oak Centre, the College’s nearly completed STEM building, the Brigidine Centre and the stunning St Brigid’s Chapel. Throughout the tour, it was evident how proud the students were of their school and their identity as Clonard students.

Over lunch, the Trustees engaged in meaningful conversations with students, learning about their personal commitment and their College’s strong dedication to justice and peace. The Trustees also appreciated the chance to share a meal with the Leadership Team and Stewardship Council Chair, as well as to join Clonard staff for morning tea. These moments provided the opportunity to express gratitude for the staff’s significant commitment and contribution to the College and the ongoing education of their students.
