BASP
Alan Kogosowski, our star guest performer, has supported us each year by preparing and presenting these concerts for a very modest fee. Alan has intimate knowledge and sympathy for refugees as his own family were forced to flee Poland during the Second World War and ultimately found themselves in Australia. Alan is an internationally renowned virtuoso pianist and a world authority on the music of Frederic Chopin. He has studied and performed in London, Europe, and the USA. We feel very privileged that someone of such talent is prepared to put in the time and effort to present a concert on our behalf. For the first time this year, Alan is including guest artists Soprano Elizabeth Finkel and Clarinetist Lily Tamir-Regev.
BASP are also still looking for volunteers:
- Looking for someone with a car and trailer than can help move furniture including fridges
- Volunteers need to be able to lift and carry items
- Volunteers need to be flexible in terms of timing as needs arise at varying times
