FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Dear Parents and carers,
Year 6 Confirmation
Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting Bishop Peter Murphy in our parish and school community. Bishop Murphy visited Tamworth to celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation with our Year 6 candidates during Mass on Saturday evening and Sunday morning.
Throughout this term, our Year 6 students have been preparing for the Sacrament under the guidance of their class teachers. This journey culminated in a Retreat Day last Friday, where Bishop Murphy spent an hour with the students, asking them about their chosen Saints and highlighting the significance of the Sacrament. Bishop Murphy was deeply impressed by their knowledge and thoroughly enjoyed the display of Saint artworks in our Auditorium.
During the Confirmation Masses, as our students were sealed with the Gifts of the Holy Spirit, they displayed remarkable reverence and respect, making their families and the school community proud.
I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our Religious Education Coordinator, Amanda Scott, for organising the entire program. Thank you also to our dedicated Year 6 teachers—Emma Elliott, Karen Dickie, Bree Constable, Abbey McCloskey, and Duane Henn—for their hard work in preparing and supporting the students. Special thanks to Fr Chris for celebrating the Confirmation Masses and offering his ongoing guidance, and to Bishop Murphy for spending time with our students and conferring the Sacrament.
P&F Trivia Night
Our P&F Trivia Night on Saturday, 12th September was a fantastic success! The Holy Family Courtyard was transformed into an incredible open-air venue, and thankfully, the weather played along nicely. Plenty of laughs were shared by all—even if some of our general knowledge was a little questionable.
A huge thank you to Donna Pollock, the social committee, and the entire PT&F team for organising such a wonderful evening. With nearly 130 parents, staff, and community members in attendance, it was a memorable way to bring everyone together and strengthen the connections between school and home. We look forward to hosting this great event again in the future!
