Brimbank Youth Fest 2026
Brimbank Youth Fest is a celebration of young people aged 10 to 25. Throughout September, a variety of events and activities have been organised across the state, giving young Victorians a chance to express their ideas and views, and act on issues that affect their lives.
Victorian Youth Fest is a month-long celebration, highlighting the contributions and achievements of young people in their communities – including our own. In Brimbank, we’ve put together an awesome line-up of events that recognise, celebrate, and support the unique and inspiring young people in our local community.

Girls Walk Together
As part of Brimbank Council’s Youth Fest, Brimbank Youth Services has teamed up with Girl Guides Victoria for the ultimate school holiday adventure!
Girls Walk Together is a fun opportunity for girls to get outdoors, explore Brimbank Park, build confidence, learn new skills, meet new people and enjoy nature.

Help your learner get on the road with a free driving lesson!
Road Safety Victoria and the Department of Transport are offering the myLearners free lesson program to parents, guardians and learner drivers in our school community.
The myLearners Free Driving Lesson program offers a FREE 60-minute Lesson with a professional driving instructor for learners aged 16–21 who have completed 10–50 hours of driving practice.
The lesson is taken alongside their supervising driver, helping both the learner and supervisor build safer, more confident driving habits together.
This program supports families by making the learning experience more positive and less stressful. It aims to reduce crash risks for young drivers, strengthen supervising skills, and encourage safer driving behaviours early on all at no cost to participants.

Melbourne Victory Spring Holiday Program
The Melbourne Victory Holiday Program, funded by the Victorian Government’s Department of Education, is back on during the upcoming Spring school holidays!
The FREE programs focus on developing leadership, teamwork and football skills while promoting social and emotional well-being. The program aims to engage young people from multicultural backgrounds and anyone who faces barriers to accessing quality football programs, creating an inclusive environment for young people from schools and community services.
Register before Wednesday, September 16 as programs fill up quickly.
Our Holiday Program will be split into 4 programs – spaces are limited. Please see below and attached for program details:
- Girls Only Program: Monday 21 & Tuesday 22 September 2026
- Ages: 12 to 16-year-old girls
- Have fun through football and workshops in a female-only environment
- Activities include interactive challenge rooms, workshops and football sessions

- Ages: 16 to 18-year-old boys and girls

Important Information:
- Location: All sessions will take place in the inner suburbs of Melbourne, while the Melton Holiday Program on Wednesday 30 September & Thursday 1 October takes place at Taylors Hill Recreation Reserve.
- Cost: FREE (includes lunch provided)
- Program Time: Each day, registration will be open from 10am to 10.30am and the session will finish around 2:30pm to 3pm. We encourage early arrival to help us start promptly.

Pasifika Film Festival
The Centre for Multicultural Youth in conjunction with Le Mana Pasifika warmly invites our school community to the Pasifika Film Festival, running 18-20 September at ACMI, Federation Square.
Delivered in partnership with ACMI and supported by the Tongan Victorian Association, this year’s program brings together powerful Pacific storytelling across documentaries, short films, and industry panels. The Festival is a platform for our young people to lead, and to grow their experiences. Throughout the weekend, Pasifika youth are stepping up as hosts, MCs, performers, and speakers, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with established filmmakers and industry leaders.

Free Telephone Interpreting Service for Parents & Carers
All Graduates Interpreting and Translating provides a free inbound telephone interpreting service, which enables parents and carers to contact our school with the support of a telephone interpreter. This service ensures that families with limited English proficiency can connect with us and receive the support they need.

The Brotherhood of St. Laurence’s mission is to work for an Australia free of Poverty.
Given the cost-of-living challenges at the moment, many families are doing it very tough and could use some help.
