Maths Talent Quest (MTQ) Awards Ceremony

Every year, each class at Waverley Meadows participates in the Maths Talent Quest hosted by the Maths Association of Victoria. Students complete an investigation that applies maths in context to understand and discover how mathematics is used and found in the world around them. This year, we once again had some fantastic results, with F/1A, 4/5A, and 5/6A all receiving distinctions. 1/2A and 3/4A were awarded high distinctions for their projects, and were invited to attend the award ceremony held at Melbourne University on the 27th of October. 

Three students from each of the classes, Charlie, Andreas, Eric, Finn, Kathryn, and Logan, travelled to the city with their parents to represent their classes at the ceremony. 

Thank you to the wonderful parents who made the big journey into the CBD for the event, and congratulations again to all of our students for their amazing efforts with this year's investigations.

HOPE 4 MONASH

Thank you again for the gifts of non-perishable items to be given to those in need this Christmas in the Monash area. We collected 12 bags full to be delivered and these joined a lot more to help those struggling to put food on the table.

WMPS 50th Birthday Event - 15th November

What a success our 50th Birthday Event was!

Alumni from near and far visited and loved seeing their images in the library, past faculty got emotional seeing each other for the first time in years, our current students had a blast in all the inflatables and petting zoo - and our greater community were blown away by how amazing our small school is!

A huge THANK YOU to everyone involved - our fabulous teachers, School Council members, Education Support team, and of course our parent volunteers 😁🎉

The event would not have gone ahead without you all pitching in and helping in the lead up and on the day itself!

Another special mention to our friends at the Lions Club of Wheelers Hill who volunteered their time to run our very successful sausage sizzle on the day - THANK YOU!
