Celebrating Our End of Year Performances

Our sincere thanks go to the dedicated staff and students who made the End of Year Celebration Performances such a memorable highlight of the school calendar. Across both the Senior and Junior ceremonies, the talent, teamwork and joy on display were truly inspiring.

The Senior School ceremony featured outstanding musical and dance performances. As staff entered in their academic gowns, Mrs Fenella O’Sullivan led the combined Wind Ensemble and Concert Band in a magical rendition of Harry’s Wondrous World. Miss Beth Spragg conducted the Senior Choir in two beautifully delivered works, the acapella Lovely Day and Count the Stars, setting a reflective and uplifting tone. The energy continued with Mr Geoff Haymes directing the Stage Band in a crowd-pleasing performance of The Chicken. Adding depth and artistry to the program, our Senior Dance students presented a stirring, self-devised piece that captivated the audience.

The Junior School ceremony was equally delightful and moving. Junior Dance presented a poignant Christmas performance, thoughtfully choreographed by Mrs Samantha Bellerose. The String Orchestra brought smiles with an upbeat Irish jig, while the Junior Choir delighted the audience with a lively rendition of Absolutely Everybody. These ensembles were led with great skill, enthusiasm and care by Mrs Tara Chambers and Mrs Jessie Swan.

Both ceremonies concluded on a joyful note, with the Steel Pans sending audiences out dancing and smiling.

Performing Arts Breakfast

Last Friday, we celebrated with the annual Performing Arts breakfast in the Performing Arts Centre. Over 100 students attended with prizes awarded for MVP, leadership, improvement and commitment. Many thanks to the staff who go above and beyond with their groups and the parents for your support and early morning taxi service.
