End-of-year Celebrations

We enjoyed two fabulous ceremonies on Thursday 11 December which showcased the broad experiences of students in both the Junior and Senior Schools.

 

There were many highlights: 

  • Our Student Leader MCs: Layla Aplin and Joshua Newsom (Junior School), and Sammi Murray and Rylan Fraser (Senior School) spoke so well.
  • We had contributions from our special guests: The Rev Peter Laurence OAM (CEO of AngliSchool), Mrs Fiona Elgin (College Council Chair), and Fr Peter McLeod Miller from St Matthew’s Anglican Church (and Member of Council).
  • We were also delighted to be joined by Marcus Davies (Treasurer of College Council), Justin Clancy Member for Albury, Mrs Alice Glachan AlburyCity Councillor, and representatives from St Matthew’s Anglican Church and St John’s Anglican Church.
  • Performances included:
    • The processional piece: Harry’s Wondrous World performed by the Trinity Wind Ensemble conducted by Fenella O'Sullivan.
    • Hark the Herold and The Irish Washer Woman performed by the Trinity String Orchestra conducted by Jessie Swan and Tara Chambers.
    • Mary Did You Know? and Absolutely Everybody performed by the Junior Choir conducted by Jessie Swan.
    • Count the Stars and Lovely Day performed by the Senior Choir conducted by Beth Spragg.
    • Drama performance by the Senior Drama Group directed by Pieta Swann.
    • I’ll Be Home Performed by Junior Dance Group choreographed by Samantha Bellerose.
    • Senior Dance piece performed and choreographed by Skye Vanderhoek, Holly Obbink and Rhemi Taylor.
    • The Chicken performed by the Stage Band led by Geoff Haymes.
    • And recessional pieces: Under the Sea and YMCA performed by the Steel Pans conducted by Michelle Revelant.
  • The 2026 JS Leaders and Captains were announced.
  • AND we had time to present awards to some talented scholars, those students who had demonstrated character and citizenship and served their community, and impressive sports people and performing artists.

It was a great team effort and a fitting end to a great year!
