Year 12 Camp

Our Year 12 students recently spent four days at Kianinny Lodge in Tathra, participating in a retreat designed to strengthen friendships and support them as they begin their final year of schooling.

Across the camp, students challenged themselves through a variety of outdoor activities set in the surrounding bushland, including raft building, rogaining, crate stacking, ziplining and time in the pool. A highlight for many was the 4.5 km bush walk to Kianinny Bay, where students enjoyed a swim before lunch.

Throughout the experience, students exemplified the college values in meaningful ways. They showed respect for themselves, their peers and staff, supported and trusted one another, and approached each activity with a willingness to try their best. These moments of encouragement and teamwork were evident across the camp.

The team at Kianinny Lodge were outstanding, generously giving their time and expertise to ensure students felt supported and engaged throughout the experience. On behalf of the cohort, Year 12 student Bailey Upton thanked the camp leaders for their efforts in making the camp such a positive and memorable experience.

As Year 12 can be a busy and demanding year, the camp provided an important opportunity for students to connect, build resilience and return to school well placed to support one another, alongside the ongoing support of their families and teachers.
