Introducing 'New' Staff

Sabine Kallisch

My name is Sabine. I am an accredited Master's Level counsellor with a Diploma in Sensorimotor Art Therapy. I have 7 years counselling experience working with children and young people in Primary and Secondary schools, as well as 10 years working as a youth worker in schools, not-for-profit organisations and local government. In each of these roles, the highlights have always been coming alongside young people and building positive relationships with them, affirming their strengths and helping them overcome challenges, so they can achieve their goals and create positive life narratives.

I am passionate about early intervention and prevention and supporting young people to navigate their developmental stages, using evidence-based approaches including art therapy, play therapy, sand tray therapy, CBT, solution-focused and narrative therapy modalities.

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with friends and family. I especially love being in nature, whether at the beach or in the country. I also love music and dancing as well as being creative – art, cooking, design.

I was thrilled to join the Wellbeing team at Christway College at the beginning of 2025. Since commencing I have supported numerous students through individual counselling as well as social skills groups. And I look forward to continuing in this capacity to serve the students at Christway College.
