Specialist Information for Year 3 Term 3:

PE:

In PE this term, students will be developing the basic understandings of various Athletic skills, with proper techniques for jumps and running events.

They will also be participating in a modified version of House Athletics, which will be occurring on Tuesday August 11th.

STEAM:

In STEAM this term, students will investigate the properties of materials through experimentation and testing. Students will explore concepts such as strength, flexibility, durability and stability while designing and evaluating solutions using construction materials and everyday objects.

LOTE:

 In Mandarin this term, students will be learning to read and create imaginative texts. They will extend the sentences to talk about what they have and what they want in a given scenario.

Art:

In Term 3, Year 3 & 4 students will create a variety of artworks using different printing techniques. The subjects will range from living plants to the sun and water that they need to thrive.

Music:

Auditions for Soiree to be held early term 3 ADVANCED MUSICIANS ONLY please

Year 3 will move on to more difficult recorder pieces using the notes G A B C D’ E, D, perhaps F#

They will work towards playing duets.

They will learn specifically about the percussion family with our KABOOM incursion THURSDAY JULY 16 being a highlight early in the term.
