Key Dates for 1/2 students and families

Reminders:

The Grade 1/2 Melbourne Zoo Excursion has been booked for Monday 31st August. Details of this event will be released out on Compass in the coming weeks.

What we have been up to...

Upcoming Learning

Literacy 

Over the next two weeks, we will be reading 'Banjo & Ruby Red', a fact file about chickens, 'Three' and 'The Gruffalo'. For writing, we will be working on summarising and writing narratives.

Mathematics

In week 3, we will be completing our Measurement unit on Time. In week 4, we will begin learning about Multiplication.

Topic 

As part of our Cellebrating Differences unit, students will be learning about the countries China and Italy and will investigate the differences and similarities compared to Australia. 

In Respectful Relationships we will start looking at Positive coping: Students will discuss the emotions they can feel when they lose or are excluded from a game and will identify the strengths they can use to play well with others.
