Mental Health & Wellbeing News
Hello Spring Gully Primary School families,
My name is Shelley Eaton and I am delighted to introduce myself as the Wellbeing Leader and Disability Inclusion Coordinator at Spring Gully Primary School. I am excited to be working alongside our students, families and staff to support the wellbeing of every child and to help create a positive, inclusive and connected school community.
Over the coming weeks, I will be getting to know students across the school and supporting a range of wellbeing initiatives. One of these will be the commencement of small social groups, designed to help students build confidence, strengthen friendships, develop communication skills and foster positive relationships in a supportive environment.
Families of students who have been identified to participate in these groups will be contacted with further information. These groups provide a wonderful opportunity for students to develop important social and emotional skills while having fun and connecting with their peers.
I believe that strong partnerships between school and home are an important part of supporting children's wellbeing. If you have any concerns about your child's social or emotional wellbeing, or if you would simply like to introduce yourself, please don't hesitate to reach out. I am always happy to have a conversation and work together to ensure every student feels safe, supported and able to thrive.
I look forward to meeting many of you throughout the year and becoming an active part of the Spring Gully Primary School community.
