Report from the Acting Principal
Dear Parents, Guardians and Father Arsenio,
It’s hard to believe we are already in Week 9 - this really has felt like the longest shortest term ever! Duncan is safe and well, currently enjoying his time in Italy (though no doubt missing us all terribly and counting down the days until he can return to Australia!).
It has been another big week at Holy Spirit. Our Prep students proudly presented their Science learning to their families - we are so proud of the insights and curiosity they have shown. Our Year 6 students are preparing for their Sustainability Walk, and we look forward to sharing their learning from Term 3 with you soon.
Our Year 3 students headed off to Sovereign Hill this week to experience “life in the olden days.” They had a wonderful time exploring the goldfields, deepening their understanding of history and connecting it with their earlier learning. A heartfelt thank you to our staff for accompanying the students, and a special mention to Kirsty who stepped in at the last minute - you are amazing!
Thank you also for your support as I stepped into Duncan’s shoes these past couple of weeks. We are so fortunate to have such a supportive and connected community at Holy Spirit and I feel very lucky to be part of it. Thank you.
Looking ahead, we are excited for our much-anticipated Fete on Saturday 11 October. If you are able to assist in any way, we would be most grateful - volunteer sign-up links are available on the Fete page on Dojo. A huge thank you to the organising team who have been working tirelessly behind the scenes to make this a success.
Over recent weeks we have had several staff travelling on leave and we look forward to welcoming them back in Term 4. Kylie will be on leave for the beginning of next term and we wish her all the very best. We are fortunate to have wonderful CRTs who step in to support our learning program so seamlessly.
As we approach the holiday break, I hope all our families can enjoy some rest and time together. Thank you once again for your ongoing support of our staff, students and community. May this holiday be a time of rest, renewal, and joy for you and your families.
Take care of yourselves,
Kayla
